I have been searching by downloading to my Kindle keyboard. These records appear to be incompatible with the newer Kindle Fire. Not great, but, hey, its

free.

According to your search engine the Sherwoods do not exist, yet my ancestor Thomas Sherwood 1586-1655 was one of the earliest settlers, lived in Fairfield
...
and served in the Great and General Court of the Colony. Fortunately, I did much of my searching before you converted to this system. I suspect the problem is caused by variations in spelling of the name, but that is common in that period. If you wanted to make these records unavailable, you couldnt have done a better job.

Easier to just download the file, then use Adobe Reader (which is free). With that one can search within a file for whatever one wants.
Or download the ... text version (though they aren't prrofed) and use Notepad or the like to search.

Good grief, what a mess. I agree with others that the site is pretty much unusable. Recommend you add some "how to use" instructions or rebuilt the site
...
from the ground up. Can the person who gave the site 5 Stars share some insights into use?? Without some instructions, this site is 100% useless.

Especially for those few of us left that only have access to dial-up. The old format allowed me to easily search the records, go to the pages I needed.

Not with this. Perhaps there is a learning curve, but I don't see how to even begin.

I thoroughly enjoyed searching through the records with this new system. Much less cumbersome than before. Great job and thanks.

Now very difficult to use. Old system allowed access to specific surnames etc. Now there is no indexing or keyword search. Shame on everyone involved in

making the CCR virtually impossible to use. This sucks !

What happened? In the old format, these records were easy to use. Now they are nearly useless. It is extremely hard to get to a particular page, search
